Two different color-altering genes over Chocolate - Silvering (top) and Umbrous (bottom). They can make the same color look really different. Chocolate and BE Argente are probably the only two things I like Umbrous on, besides Umbrous alone by itself on Agouti.
Baby rats!
Red-Eyed White Russian Dwarf Hamsters
This is the co-dominant Leucistic gene I found, plus RE Argente.
Leucistic, Black Lucy-carrier, and Dove Lucy-carrier (Russian Dwarf Hamsters). The carriers have proven not to be Silvering, as the results are consistent and there is never a non-marked carrier (Silvering tends to be inconsistent when bred to a non-marked individual). Lucy has also proven to not be Extreme Dilute Platinum, as all of the carrier offspring are marked exactly the same (indicating there is only 1 co-dom gene at play), litter size is also not affected (Platinum would Homozygous lethal), and Lucy x Lucy breeds true.

Lots of different Gerbil colors.
Blue-Gray Mottled (Russian Dwarf Hamster); The gene combo Blue-Gray is made up of Opal + Dark Gray.
Acacia Tree Rat. This rare rodent in captivity (but plentiful in the wilds of Africa) is slow to breed - they usually produce offspring only 3-4 times in a year, and have a litter size of about 2-5 babies.

A Normal, or Agouti, Roborovski's Dwarf Hamster. They have cute white eyebrows!
Blue Roborovski's Dwarf Hamsters. This gene acts sort of like Umbrous does in other varieties. It also hides the white "eyebrows" that would normally be on a Robo.
Husky Roborovski's Dwarf Hamster. This gene lightens the color to a pale cinnamon tone, and has a white face, with no "eyebrows".
Pied Roborovski's Dwarf Hamster. These will be white with blotches of color, and may or may not have partial "eyebrows" visible. You can kind of see the edges of them in this photo.
Dark Beige Silvering (Russian Dwarf Hamster); Dark Beige is the triple-gene combo of: Black + BE Argente + RE Argente.

Acacia Tree Rat male, enjoying a corn. My pair of ATR's live in an arboreal rodent enclosure, since in the wild they live in and on Acacia Trees, eating the seeds, bark, and gum. In captivity they get fed a much more varied diet, but this still includes Acacia seeds.
