A very sleepy Dove Banded LH (Long Hair)
Dove is a combination of the colors Cinnamon and Black.
Dark-Eared White Chushy.
Chushy was discovered by Brookside Hamstery, and we are happy to be one of the very few nationwide working with this really cool dominant coat-type.
Sable Roan SH.
BBM's Umbrasil
Sable Chushy SH
Chocolate Rex LH
Het-SG Tort Rex LH. BBM's Penguin
Often miscalled a "Calico," the actual name for this phenotype is Black Banded Tort.
A very clean, excellent looking Black Dominant Spot. See the white spot/blaze on the hamster's forehead, and the extra white peeking up on the sides.
Gold Satin. BSH Billababy
Het-SG Dove Banded. The heterozygous Silver Gray definitely adds a bit of haziness to her color! BBM Dovana.
Black Eyed White Rex Satin LH.
BEW is not a color I aim to make in Syrians, as it usually hides the genotype quite well. This one in particular was because of RD popping up on a PWDS which already has limited pattern.
Misty-Black is the combo color of Black + heterozygous DEW + heterozygous Extreme Dilute. DEW and ED are allelic, so when combined they make something new.
Misty-Black appears to be the same, or similar, as Burmese in Fancy Mice (Black + het. Chinchilla + het. Himilayan). Pictured is BBM Sierra Mist.
DEW Satin LH female, BBM Elsa
Golden Banded LH
RE Cream, and RE Cream RD.
Black DS Chushy LH.
DS stands for Dominant Spot.
Black Chushy LH.
Chushy is by definition a Thin or Non-existent Undercoat. It makes the hamster more werewolf-like in appearance, very similarly to how Lykoi works in cats!
Cream Roan SH. BBM's Cheesecake
Black Banded Chushy LH
Het-SG Black Tort LH. BBM's Two-Face
Chocolate Banded DS Rex LH. The "blaze" on the face is caused by Dominant Spot.
Het-SG Rex
Dove Banded LH
Caramel Roan Satin. BSH Snozbury
3 absolutely stunning Black Chushy SH. I have been selecting for blacker blacks for a few generations now and it shows!!
Black SDS SH. SDS is an abbreviation for Super Dominant Spot - which, is a combination name for heterozygous Polywhite + Dominant Spot. Picture is BBM's Iris.
Chocolate Tort LH
Introducing the BLUE Syrian Hamster!! We got these in from our friend Bill at Brookside Hamstery in Utah. Blue is a combination of the rare Dilute gene + Black. Pictured are BSH Lars and BSH Woogie.
Golden Chushy SH.
Blue SDS. BBM's Marionnette
A closeup of BBM Willow's (a Chocolate SDS) eyes. She has odd-eyes, which is an anomaly causing one red eye and one black eye. This has not proven to be heritable in Syrians.
Rust Banded LH
Yellow-Black LH, with moult marks on its face.
BBM Taser
Golden SH, BBM Jacqueline
Just a really nice Black.
A neat looking Black DS RD-carrier.
Heterozygous Recessive Dappled sometimes causes a lot of white fault hairs, all over the hamster. In this case, there are so many that it gives the illusion that the hamster is gray.
